It has become evidentially clear that there is at least one failing battery in our current bank. This causes a real dilemma given the spring plan was to double the bank size by adding another 8 batteries. We’re not ready to replace the entire battery bank, but adding fresh batteries to dying ones would be a wasted investment.
Currently our bank has eight Crown 430Ah 6v deep cycle batteries wired in series. We’re thinking one of the eight in the culprit . The last couple weeks have been a struggle to keep the bank’s voltage where it should be and even when the SOC is at 100% there voltage never gets them to a float state.
